Terms of use for the Stripe app

Last updated: 8 November 2026

1. Provider

Tom Gebauer, ALPSCREEN (sole proprietorship), Marburger Tor 18, 57072 Siegen, Germany, as named in the legal notice.

2. What the app is

The app "UK Subscription Readiness Check" runs in the Stripe Dashboard. It reads your subscription settings and shows which points of the UK subscription rules in the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 deserve a closer look. It is a checklist for your own review. The app is free of charge.

3. No advice, no assurance

The app and the related pages give general information only. They are not legal advice, they do not replace advice from a professional, and they do not confirm that your business meets any legal requirement. You remain responsible for your own contracts, notices and processes. The app looks only at the points listed in it and only at the data it can read from Stripe; it can miss points that matter for your business. The rules shown reflect the date stated with them and can change.

4. Use

You may use the app for your own Stripe account. The app only reads data and changes nothing in your account. Do not try to disrupt it or to use it in a way that breaks the law or Stripe's terms.

5. Availability

The app is offered as it is. I may change it, pause it or remove it. Stripe's terms for apps and the Stripe Dashboard apply in addition.

6. Liability

I am liable without limit for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and where mandatory law requires it. For slight negligence I am liable only for breach of a main contractual duty, and only for the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise liability is excluded as far as the law allows.

7. Data protection

See the privacy notice for the app.

8. Law

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live are not affected.
