Privacy notice for the Stripe app

Draft: This text may change before the app is published.

Last updated: 8 November 2026

1. Who is responsible

Tom Gebauer, ALPSCREEN (sole proprietorship), Marburger Tor 18, 57072 Siegen, Germany, as named in the legal notice. Email: [email protected].

This notice covers the Stripe app "UK Subscription Readiness Check" (the app). The privacy notice for this website, the waitlist and the contact form is separate: Privacy notice.

2. Where the app runs

The app runs only inside your Stripe Dashboard, in your browser. It has no server of its own. I do not operate a back-end for it.

3. What I receive and store

I do not receive and I do not store any customer data or subscription data from your Stripe account. This includes names, email addresses, countries, tax IDs, prices, subscriptions and portal settings. The app reads these from Stripe, with the permissions you approve at installation, only to show you the result on your own screen. The data is not sent to me or to anyone else.

The app does not keep your answers to its self-assessment questions beyond the current session.

3a. What Stripe tells me about installations

As the developer, Stripe shows me which Stripe accounts have installed the app (account ID and time of installation) and statistics on installations, uninstalls and views of the Marketplace listing. If your Stripe account is held by a sole trader, this can be personal data. I use it only to count how many accounts use the app, to decide whether to keep and improve it, and to answer support requests. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in running and improving the app, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and UK GDPR. I do not combine it with other data and do not use it for advertising. I keep my own exports of these figures for at most 24 months; Stripe keeps its records under its own terms.

4. Tracking

The app has no tracking, no analytics, no advertising and no cookies of its own, and it loads nothing from third parties.

5. Permissions

The app asks for read access only: subscriptions, customers, customer portal settings and prices. It cannot change anything in your account and sends no emails.

6. Stripe

Stripe processes the data in your account under its own terms and privacy policy. This notice does not cover that processing.

7. Contact and your rights

I hold no data from inside your Stripe account. What I can access or delete on request is the installation record described in section 3a and any email you send me. If you write to me by email, I process your message to answer it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and UK GDPR) and delete it when it is no longer needed. You have the rights described in the website privacy notice, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

8. Changes

If the app starts to process data differently, I update this notice and the date above before the change goes live.
